Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), often called an enlarged prostate, is a common condition in older men where the prostate gland grows larger than normal. While not cancerous, BPH can cause noticeable urinary symptoms due to the prostate's location near the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder.

Bladder dysfunction/OAB

Bladder dysfunction, specifically Overactive Bladder (OAB), is a common urological condition that can significantly impact quality of life. It's characterized by symptoms like urinary urgency, frequency, nocturia (nighttime urination), and sometimes urge incontinence (leakage with urgency).

Bladder stones

Bladder stones, also known as vesical calculi, are hard mineral deposits that form in the bladder.

Erectile dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, is the inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for satisfactory sexual intercourse. It can be a symptom of other underlying health conditions and can have both physical and psychological causes.

Hydrocele

A hydrocele refers to a fluid-filled sac that develops around the testicle, causing swelling in the scrotum. It's a common condition, particularly in newborns, where it often resolves on its own within the first year. In adults, hydroceles can develop due to inflammation, injury, or, less commonly, as a result of a persistent connection between the abdominal cavity and the scrotum (communicating hydrocele).

Hematuria

Hematuria, the presence of blood in the urine. While it can stem from various causes, including urinary tract infections or kidney stones, hematuria can also be an indicator of more serious conditions like bladder or kidney cancer.

Kidney cysts

Kidney cysts are fluid-filled sacs that can form on or within the kidneys. Most kidney cysts are benign, meaning they are not cancerous and do not cause problems.

Kidney stones

Kidney stones are a common urological condition characterized by hard, mineral deposits that form in the kidneys.

Male infertility

Male infertility is a urological condition where a man has difficulty conceiving a child due to issues with his reproductive system.

UPJ obstruction

Ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction is a blockage at the point where the kidney's drainage system (renal pelvis) connects to the ureter, the tube that carries urine to the bladder. This blockage can slow or stop urine flow, leading to a backup of urine in the kidney, a condition called hydronephrosis. UPJ obstruction can be a congenital condition (present from birth) or acquired due to factors like kidney stones, surgery, or abnormal blood vessels.

Urethral stricture

A urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body, often due to scar tissue.
