Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital announces that it has officially lifted its Code Black status following the recent cybersecurity incident that impacted portions of its information systems. As of 8:00 AM, the emergency department, which has continued to serve walk-in patients throughout this incident, is now receiving ambulances.
“Needless to say, our priority is to ensure that all patients receive the highest caliber healthcare, particularly anyone experiencing a medical emergency, said Bob Haffey, CEO of Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. “We have reached this important milestone in system recovery
and restoration of services after the cyber incident as a direct result of the round-the-clock work of our staff, particularly our IT teams, clinical staff, and operational leaders. We are working closely with a team of outside experts who continue to guide us as we follow a phased approach
to ensure stability and security.”
The experts continue their forensic work on the incident. Some systems and processes remain offline and will continue to be restored over the coming days. We are grateful to our employees, partners, and community for their patience, flexibility, and dedication throughout this challenging time.
We will continue to provide updates as appropriate.

Health System Continues Expert Care Using Alternate Documentation Methods
April 6, 2026 (Brockton, MA) – Signature Healthcare and Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital are currently responding to a cybersecurity incident that has affected certain information systems within our health system. Upon identifying suspicious activity within a portion of our network, we immediately activated our incident response protocols. We moved to down-time procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety. We are working with outside resources to help us investigate the incident and restore operations as quickly as possible.
Inpatient and walk-in emergency services remain open using downtime procedures.
We are diverting ambulance traffic at this time. Surgeries and procedures such as endoscopy are continuing as scheduled.
We are cancelling chemotherapy infusion services for cancer patients on Tuesday, April 7th. Patients should call the Greene Cancer Center to reschedule their treatments.
Ambulatory physician practices and urgent care practices will be open Tuesday, April 7th. Patients may experience some delays as we work through these issues.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we deal with this unfortunate situation.
Please continue to monitor our web site and social media for updates.
