Robert Haffey, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Robert Haffey’s tenure at Signature Healthcare began on November 29, 2021. He has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Since 2018, Mr. Haffey served as President of Kent Hospital, a Care New England hospital in Rhode Island. In 2014, he was president of Springfield, Pennsylvania-based Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Taylor Hospital, and Crozer Keystone Health System Ambulatory Care Services. Haffey also served as Chief Nursing Officer for the five-hospital system, Crozer Keystone Health System.
He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University and attended Frankford Hospital School of Nursing Professional Nurse Diploma Program. He received a Master’s of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Eastern University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from LaSalle University and graduated from the Academic Medicine Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School.
The combination of his experience, innovative strategies and approach along with organizational culture and growth will help steer Signature Healthcare into the next phase of providing safe, quality healthcare services for the Southeast community of Massachusetts.
Melissa DeMayo MSN, RN, LNC, Vice President, Quality, Chief Quality Officer
Melissa joined Brockton Hospital in 1997 as a staff nurse in the Women’s Health Affiliate OB/GYN practice. During her career she held a number of positions including roles in Staff Education nursing leadership. Most recently she served as the Patient Safety Program Director at the Controlled Risk Insurance Company. She returned to Signature Healthcare as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer in June 2022. She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Northeastern University and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Administration from Norwich University of Graduate Studies.
As Vice President for Quality she is responsible for coordinating the improvement of safety and quality across the organization, as well as overseeing all regulatory compliance.
Joe Diver, Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Joe joined Signature Healthcare in March 2024, bringing over a decade of leadership experience as a Chief Information Officer and a strong background in driving innovation in healthcare. Prior to this role, he served as CIO at Valley Health System, where he led transformative initiatives to enhance patient care through technology.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminology & Law from Suffolk University and is an active member of the innovation faculty at the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
With deep expertise in healthcare IT strategy, budget management, and operations, Joe’s ability to enhance efficiency and improve patient outcomes will continue to drive sustainable growth to the organization.
David Drinkwater, M.D., Senior Vice President and President Signature Medical Group
Dr. David Drinkwater, after graduation from Holy Cross with a degree in Biology, attended New York Medical College graduating as a member of AOA. He completed his residency in general surgery at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Dr. Drinkwater practiced surgery in Nashua, NH from 1999 to 2006. He completed a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery and developed the Obesity Center at Southern NH Medical Center. Dr. Drinkwater joined Brockton Hospital as Chief of Surgery in 2006 and currently serves as President of Signature Medical Group.
Beth MacNeill, Vice President, Development
Beth joined Signature Healthcare in January 2025, bringing a wealth of expertise in development and philanthropy. Prior to joining Signature Healthcare, she held several senior leadership positions, most recently as Chief Development and Communications Officer at Thompson Island Outward Bound. In this role, Beth spearheaded philanthropic strategy and growth, guiding organizational strategic planning and leading budgeting and board development initiatives.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami. With her extensive experience in fundraising, process optimization, and achieving organizational goals, Beth will continue to support Signature Healthcare’s mission by driving philanthropic initiatives and supporting the organization's continued success.
Karen E. Murphy, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer
Ms. Murphy has served as the organization’s chief legal officer for ten years, overseeing all of the organization’s legal needs. Her other responsibilities include overseeing the corporate compliance function and providing strategic and enterprise risk management support. Her prior experience includes a decade as the chief compliance officer and associate general counsel for a Boston academic medical center with responsibilities over the hospital, faculty practice plan and Medicaid managed care health insurance plan. She worked as a healthcare management consultant for a Boston firm and practiced for many years as a critical care nurse and nursing administrative manager at several teaching and community hospitals.
She holds a B.A. degree in economics from Wheaton College, a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, became a registered nurse from the graduate program at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professionals, and earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in health care administration from Boston University. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Chenese Nicholas, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer
Chenese Nicholas joined Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital as Chief Nursing Officer on September 30, 2024. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Stamford Hospital in Stamford Connecticut, where she provided strategic leadership and fiscal oversight for several key departments, including Cardiology, Oncology, Medicine, and Surgery, driving improvements in patient care and operational efficiency.
Chenese holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Patient Care Administration from Sacred Heart University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice and an MBA in Executive Leadership from Wilmington University.
As Chief Nursing Officer, Chenese leads nursing administration and oversees a wide range of patient care services, ensuring the highest standards of care and supporting clinical excellence.
Jason Radzevich, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Jason joined Signature in October of 2022. Prior to Signature, Mr. Radzevich held CFO positions at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton as well as Beth Israel Lahey Health in Plymouth and Milton.
Jason holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Curry College, where he was the capstone presenter, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Merrimack College.
Jason comes to Signature with over 25 years of healthcare financial operations experience. Jason has a wealth of experience in various financial positions in hospital settings and is excited about helping us fulfill our mission to the community.
Kimberly Walsh, MSN, RN, Chief Operating Officer
Kim Walsh began her career at Brockton Hospital in 1985. Just four years later in 1989, she was promoted from her position as Staff Nurse on Medical/Surgical to Nurse Manager on A3. In addition, she worked on the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) Project, which opened in 1996. Upon TCU’s completion, she served as Director of TCU until her appointment to Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer in 2004. She served as Chief Nursing Officer for 20 years until 2024, when she was promoted to her current position as Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Walsh received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University and her Masters in Nursing Administration from St. Joseph’s College.
