Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is working on improving critical areas of the building infrastructure during the final phase of preparation to reopen the hospital following an electrical fire in February 2023.
On the one-year anniversary of a devastating 10-alarm electrical fire that shut down Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, hospital officials announced they expect to safely reopen late Spring.

Our goal is and always has been to provide the needed healthcare services that will best serve our patients and the community, regardless of their ability to pay. We recognized after the 10-alarm fire at Brockton Hospital that our reopening would be in three phases.
Signature Healthcare has expanded access to services, is working to deploy staff to regional health systems and opened two new Walk-In Urgent Care Centers in just three weeks to care for the community in the aftermath of the fire emergency at Brockton Hospital on February 7, 2023.
