Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is working on improving critical areas of the building infrastructure during the final phase of preparation to reopen the hospital following an electrical fire in February 2023. The diligent testing of the hospital’s 250,000-square-foot facility has resulted in vast improvements, and underscores our commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
Ongoing assessments have highlighted the need for significant required upgrades to HVAC systems. New HVAC units are needed and will be installed in most inpatient rooms to ensure patient safety and comfort. The procurement process for these units is underway, and will be installed as soon as they are received.
We will keep the community apprised of our progress and expected reopening as soon as we have a confirmed timeline. Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital remains dedicated to completing all necessary improvements and securing approvals from regulatory agencies to ensure a safe and effective reopening.
“Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital has supported this community for over 125 years and will continue supporting patients and the community for the next 125 years and beyond,” said Robert Haffey, CEO and President of Signature Healthcare. We thank our patients, staff and the community for their continued patience and support during this essential repair and upgrade process. We will be back stronger, healthier and better than ever!”
