The Pharmacy Department works across the continuum of patient care services: ambulatory services within physician office practices and retail pharmacy, emergency services, urgent care services, inpatient care, etc. Pharmacy colleagues work together to assure medication orders are reviewed for appropriate indication, appropriate dose, drug-drug or drug-disease interactions, monitoring for serum drug concentrations, and adverse effects; availability of medications from acquisition to storage to distribution to administration and disposal.
