Nursing preparation years are times of rapidly expanding self-awareness and students may experience difficulties coping with emotional, intellectual and interpersonal issues. Counseling matters are explored with students by trained and dedicated professionals involved in areas of student development.
SH/BHSON's counseling services encourage self-evaluation, personal accountability, and personal and professional growth. Referrals to other agencies may be made when appropriate. All counseling matters are handled with confidentiality and in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA.
