The Women’s Imaging Center at Signature Healthcare offers the highest level of diagnostic capabilities, including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast MRI, breast MRI biopsy, ultrasound, and bone density testing, all in a private, welcoming suite. Our mammography service is staffed by a group of all-female technologists dedicated solely to mammography.
We offer patients state-of-the-art technology in the form of Digital Mammography at our 110 Liberty St., Brockton location. Digital mammography is able to detect more incidences of cancer than film-based mammography, and while fewer than half of all screening facilities nationwide use this technology, we are offering it at two locations.
We also offer our patients a new option in mammograms, the Senographe Pristina. Designed from the ground up with input from women, it is the first mammography system to provide women with the “three Cs”: Comfort, Confidence, and Clarity. The design also improves the technician’s workflow, which improves patient positioning and can lead to faster, more precise exams.
This new technology, also known as digital breast tomosynthesis, delivers superior diagnostic accuracy at the same low dose as a 2D mammography exam, the lowest patient dose of all FDA-approved 3D Mammography systems. The technology uses a low-dose short X-ray “sweep” around the positioned breast with nine exposures acquired with a "step‐and‐shoot" method. This helps remove any movement of the X-ray tube, reducing blur and increasing image sharpness.

Our dedicated radiological technologists are licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and board certified and accredited by the American College of Radiology. Our Ultrasound, Mammography, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, and MRI programs are accredited by the American College of Radiology.
