We’re Coming Back Even STRONGER!
On February 7, 2023, 31 fire engines, 7 ladder trucks, 77 ambulances and countless courageous first responders from 10 municipalities, along with our own brave and dedicated staff, responded to a devastating electrical fire at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. 172 patients were safely evacuated and transferred from Brockton Hospital. Amazingly and thankfully there were ZERO injuries!
Our staff immediately and selflessly responded to the task of relocating services, departments and medical practices; offering extended hours to continue to serve our valued patients.
Many staff were displaced to other service locations. 300 were deployed to other healthcare agencies across the region. After receiving two months of full benefits, 400 employees were laid off. We are hoping that most will return when we reopen.
The 2023 Ring of Champions event honors and celebrates the entire family of Signature Healthcare staff whose efforts and sacrifice have helped us through a difficult time.
We are excited to bring our family back together again for this celebration as we prepare to reopen Brockton Hospital in early 2024.
Proceeds will support Fire Recovery Efforts at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital.
